Jo?ef Stefan Institute (JSI) is the leading Slovenian research organization acting on a broad spectrum of basic and applied research in the fields of natural sciences and technology. In its complementing role of the universities it bridges the gap between science and industry. It houses around 850 researchers that specialize in research in physics, chemistry and biochemistry, electronics and information science, nuclear technology, energy utilization and environmental science. Three departments from the JSI will be involved in carrying out the project: Department of Knowledge Technologies (DKT), Department of Communication Systems (DCS), and Computer Systems Department (CSD).
